Creating content isnโt just about creativity โ the right tools can take your videos from amateur to pro without breaking the bank. After producing content for dozens of brands, these are the 5 tools I always have in my setup. Whether youโre filming skincare reviews, lifestyle vlogs, or unboxing videos, this gear helps you look polished and sound professional.
1. Smartphone Tripod with Ring Light
This all-in-one tripod and ring light is my go-to for filming on my phone. The 10โ ring light has 3 lighting modes and 11 brightness levels โ super helpful for making my content look crisp no matter the time of day. The tripod is sturdy but lightweight, with an extendable height and a Bluetooth remote so I can film hands-free. Itโs beginner-friendly, budget-friendly, and totally reliable for both vertical and horizontal shots.

2. Wireless Lavalier Microphone
Pro Tip: always test your mic on voice app before you film content. If you’re a food/cooking or arts/crafts focused content creator, you need an overhead stand to get those important shots. This is a must to bring your viewer into the experience with you! Not fashionable but definitely functional. I love my Neck Tripod when I’m filming POV footage but it also acts as a short tripod stand, which is great for lower angle tabletop shoots where I don’t want to pull out my adjustable floor tripod. Tall, short, lightweight, heavier and sturdy…not all tripods are created equal. From a selfie stick tripod to a fully adjustable 5 foot tripod with ring light, I have them all. And each tripod has a use for its own time and place. When in doubt, get all your tripods out, to make sure you get the best shot and footage for your needs. I have almost as many microphones as I have tripods. These are so handy and functional but can be easily misplaced or lost. I always make sure to have 2-3 different Lavalier Mics handy.3. Phone Mount with Overhead Arm
4. Neck Mount Phone Holder
5. Tripods of Various Sizes
